Cranes for Marine Construction

Cranes can also be used in the water.  After all, we are a marine construction company.  Because of this, we use our crane in the water a lot.  Things such as dredging the channels that lead to Lake Michigan or the various inland lakes such as Gun Lake that have channel ways.  These channels eventually fill with silt.  This silt will need to be manually removed in order for the channels to maintain the depths needed for proper water flow.  This operation is carried out by cranes that will dig the silt up from the floor and carry it out in large barges.

Many of our barges are custom-made by us.  These are carried along the channel by our tug boat where they will meet up with another crane to unload or they will be lifted onto the truck for removal.  This is a long process that is done in a methodical way to ensure that the dredging efforts will last. We also use a type of GPS that will allow us to see the bottom of the channels to ensure that we are getting every spot.

Our floating crane services are perfect for those looking to install an extensive docking system.  Dock installation can be really cumbersome when trying to do on your own. However, with the proper equipment, it can be installed in far less time.
